Description
For the Japanese salmon caviar is known as ikura which is actually derived from the Russian word икра(ikra) which means caviar or fish roe.
This is a classic product for garnishing salads, cream cheese and ikura pancakes to being a key ingredient for sushi.
The individual roe has a more distinct taste than other variants of fish eggs, with a hing of slight saltness, they can remind you of a smaller version of popping boba. Yum!
